Dark Haven

Living in a small town means you don't have much to do, so you find things to do. Around here, we hike or fish, since were surrounded by trails and water. This is Dark Haven, walking through and back.

Old Stains
One of the ways from St.Kitts to Hamilton is over this old bridge covered in rust stains and calcium deposits.

Dark Haven 1
Half way into Dark Haven, everything has a slight echo in here.

Rushing Water
Depending on the season, you can easily hop stones or walk to the other side, sometimes you cant step onto the bank without getting swept away.

Dark Haven 2
My favourite view of Dark Haven. I took one recently in the snow, maybe I'll post that later.

Red Hill

A summer or two ago, my friend Erin showed me a really cool area in Hamilton I didn't know about filled with trails and lots of areas to climb. About 30 minutes in, we found a spot that lets you under the Red Hill Vally Parkway. Defiantly an awesome spot to go for graffiti and photos.

Between the Barriers
The left side is traffic going to Hamilton, the right side is heading to Niagara.
Also, this photo led to This Drawing in ink.

Curve
A little more dangerous to get this shot, but I managed to not slip to far down.

Concrete Sky
Apparently there were power lines feeding the mountain at one point, but now they stand lifeless under the Parkway.

Hidden Canvas
You can't quite tell the height of the graffiti but its close to 20' high. This is a perfect area for street artists to practice in peace.

Under the Bridge
There was something about this place, and the energy here that just gave off a pretty great grunge feel. Tested a few filters and got exactly what I was looking for.
